What a scam this company is. I received a card a gift that looks like a visa debit. Apparently, you have so many many days to set up an account with them or the card expires, even though the card says it is good through 9/22 They were 'gracious' enough to offer to send me a new card with no balance. LOL. This company is a SCAM and I am going to report them to whomever regulates them.

TERRIBLE, AWFUL and HORRIBLE!!! I will never, never, NEVER purchase a Netspend anything card again! EVER! 4 days ago I purchase a Netspend card and loaded $160.00 on it. I was unable to activate the card and upon calling customer service I was informed that they were unable to activate the card due to a negative balance on a previous card from 2016. First of all, I don’t even know how you get a negative balance on a card that is PREPAID to begin with. So I paid the negative balance of $46.13 as instructed & told that they would the activate the new card and I could access the $160.00 that I’d loaded on the card. After 4 days, numerous phone calls and talking to too many people to count, the only thing I’ve accomplished is repeatedly being told that they will contact the billing department by email to lift the restrictions of my card. The customer service team is very rude and unhelpful, I was actually told to twiddle my thumbs until the restriction was lifted! I’ve been told the money will be accessible in 24 hours for literally 4 days now! I will NEVER waste my time or money with Netspend again & advise anyone to use ANY other company than Netspend because they’re HORRIBLE all the way around!

Netspend charges on account page not accurate, and constantly changed

I've watched 4 days of Netspend completely fabricate the manner of charges. I made 2 charges Netspend counted as 4 with an overcharge as one whole charge, then a day later zero money charged. So I charged again, and that charge remained pending for 2 days. Finally after 4 days of constant change it all counts 4 charges. Who got the extra money? The Company I charged, their website only lists 3 charges.

The worst card in the history

I had hell trying to get card activated and then they got the nerve to charge someone 1.50 for every transaction. Thay is just to steal money. There is not A need to charge for every transaction. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CARD. NEVER EVER GET RIPPED OFF LIKE THIS. BY CHIME OR GREEN DOT ANYTHING BUT NETSPEND. THEY DESERVE NO STARS.

LESSON...

LESSON... I LEARN A LESSON ABOUT NETSPEND I LOCKED MY OWN CARD AND THEY STILL WOULDNT UNLOCK MY CARD AND I BEEN WITH THEM FOR THREE YEARS BUT ITS TIME FOR ME TO MOVE ON TO THE NEXT BEST CARD NETSPEND ISNT THAT ANY MORE! IM STILL WAITING ON MY OTHER HALF OF MY SAVING SMH

Worse $#*!ty card ever!

By mistake my teenager put her OWN money on this card thinking it was a gift card, well I called them twice explained the situation send ALL requested documents and they won't activate the card! Like is some company money in it?! $#*!ty in ALL levels!

Everything they do is sneaky and dishonest

I've been a netspend customer for several years, and more than once they canceled my card for no reason that they could provide evidence for, and they locked me out of my account saying that there was suspicious activity, without giving me any details. They wanted copies of my passport, my social security card and other sensitive information with my mailing address on it. I was always polite and patient with them, even though I knew that they were just reading from a script. Finally, they closed my account with over $1000 in it and I cannot get a straight answer about how to get my money back. Needless to say, despite the fact that they have been sued again and again, and despite the fact that they are being investigated by the FTC, they continue with sneaky tricks and woefully bad customer service. If you need a mobile banking or online banking service, please don't use Netspend.

No customer service

Worst company I dealt with. I had a issue with my insurance company I call net spend to help oh they did closed my account for over 26 days now took my money which I can not get because they closed my credit. Card still waiting on a replacement card best part was when I went to use my. Credit card it was declined people be aware what this company can do called them numerous times only to here its comming

This is a terrible company.

Ive used this company for years as my main card. My unemployment and stimulus are both due to be deposited in a matter of days and guess what!? They closed my account for no reason! Im so upset. I filed with the BBB, my attorney is involved, ive filed a police report and contacted the attorney General. Stealing from people that the government are trying to help, you should be ashamed! Ive also contacted the news stations since im associated with them and they are sickened by all the negative reviews and are willing to do a story if this is not rectified asap. This has to stop.

Selling Net Spend Debit Cards to Minors

When my son was 17 years old (two months ago) he was sold a net spend debit card by a company called Kum & Go a local gas station/convenience store. After my son paid 80 dollars in cash for the card, he tried to use it but it did not work. After calling Net Spend, he was informed that he needed to input his social security number to activate the card. He was also informed that he could not use his social security number because he was not 18 years of age. When he tried to return the card to Kum & Go, a seller of the Net Spend product, we was told that he could not and that he would have to get it sorted out with Net Spend. When he called Net Spend back to get a refund, they informed him that he needed to find someone over the age of 18 to activate the card for him. Now that he is 18 years of age, Net Spend will not activate the card without a copy of his drivers license and a copy of his social security card. This is how I came to find out about the situate since my son does not have access to his social security card. This debit card should never have been sold to a minor! How can you get away with selling something to some that they cannot use and then not let them return it for a refund?

EXPIRES YOUR CARD EVERY SIX MONTHS

I AM TIRED OF THEM EXPIRING MY CARD EVERY 6 MONTHS! I have a card and have NEVER received the Permanent card with my name on it. WHen i go to use the card it declines. When i call NETSPEND, they tell me that my card expired even though the date on it is 2 years into the future and waives the processing fee then when i get the new temp card, it charges me a $5-8 processing fee. I've HAD IT and they won't get my business ANYMORE! DUECES $#*!ES!
